What is the Creative and Tech Hub?

The South Auckland Creative & Tech Hub will be a gateway for South Auckland young people to be inspired, access technology and upskill for future creative projects and employment opportunities in the creative & tech sector.

Who is it for?

This is for all Pacific youth from South Auckland.

What programmes will be run out of the Creative and Tech Hub?

All programmes will be delivered by established and trusted education providers and tutors who are experienced in coding, concept art, multimedia, animation design, 3D design, graphic design workshops, game development, web development, UI/UX design, augmented reality and many more.

What resources will be available for me to use?

The Creative and Tech Hub will be fitted out with the following:

  • Computers/laptops
  • Design and development programmes
  • High speed Wi-Fi
  • Printer
  • Interactive television screens with video conferencing capability
  • Pastoral care

How much will it cost to participate in the programmes?

All programmes run out of the Creative and Tech Hub will be free.

How long are the sessions?

We are in the early process of putting together a full rundown of programmes that will require either short term (1-3 day or 1-4 week workshops) or long term (5+ weeks – multiple months) commitment. Most programmes will run between 10am-3pm.

Our expectation is that all participants be there on time, attend all sessions and actively contribute to their personal learning.

How will the Creative and Tech Hub help me?

The aim of the Creative and Tech Hub is to provide the right foundation skills, provide the necessary tech equipment, to get you ready for further training towards a pathway career in the creative and tech sectors. We will also support you with pastoral care during your hub journey.
